Anisandrus maiche
Anisandrus maiche is an invasive ambrosia beetle native to East Asia that has established populations in North America and Europe. It is a significant pest of stressed trees in orchards, forests, and ornamental settings, boring into wood and cultivating symbiotic fungi in galleries. The species has been recorded in the United States since 2005, in Italy and Switzerland since 2021-2022, and was previously detected in Ukraine and European Russia. Its spread is facilitated by international transport of wood products and an inbreeding mating system that allows single females to establish new populations.

Antennophorus
Antennophorus is a genus of mites in the family Antennophoridae. The genus was described by Haller in 1877. At least one species, Antennophorus grandis, is a documented obligate ectoparasite of ants, specifically riding on workers of Lasius flavus and feeding through host manipulation. The genus includes multiple described species, though detailed life history information is available primarily for A. grandis.

Cnestus is a genus of ambrosia beetles (Curculionidae: Scolytinae: Xyleborini) established by Sampson in 1911. Species in this genus are characterized by inbreeding reproduction through sib mating, cultivation of symbiotic ambrosia fungi as their sole nutritional source, and haplodiploid sex determination. The genus includes both native Asian species and invasive populations that have established in North America, Europe, and other regions. Cnestus mutilatus (camphor shot borer) is the most widely documented species, first reported in the United States in 1999 and subsequently detected in Europe. The genus exhibits complex evolutionary patterns, with some species containing cryptic sympatric lineages that are morphologically indistinguishable but genetically distinct.

Coccotrypes dactyliperda is a small scolytine weevil (1.8–2.3 mm) that spends nearly its entire life cycle inside palm seeds, particularly those of date palms (Phoenix dactylifera). Native to Africa and the Middle East, it has achieved cosmopolitan distribution through international trade in dates and horticultural palm seeds. The species is a significant agricultural pest, causing 20–40% yield losses in unprotected date plantations by attacking green, unripe fruit and causing premature fruit drop. It employs a haplodiploid sex-determination system with extensive inbreeding, enabling rapid population growth within individual seeds that can support 70–80 beetles through multiple overlapping generations.

Entedoninae is a subfamily of chalcid wasps in the family Eulophidae comprising over 90 genera. Members are primarily parasitoids with documented associations across diverse host groups including gall-inducing insects, leafminers, sawflies, thrips, and ants. The subfamily exhibits considerable morphological and ecological diversity, with species found in tropical to temperate habitats worldwide.
