Audycoptidae
Audycoptidae is a family of mites in Arachnida associated in published records with animal skin and follicles. The best documented representative is Ursicoptes americanus, found on American black bears. Bear studies show that infestation can range from an apparently healthy positive test to alopecia, crusting, or mange-like disease. The family name is also associated with Audycoptes, Saimirioptes, and Ursicoptes.
Spelaeorhynchidae
Spelaeorhynchidae is a family of mesostigmatid mites known as blood-feeding ectoparasites of bats. It is associated especially with Neotropical bats, with records from Brazil, the Caribbean, and other parts of Central and South America. Its literature combines taxonomy, morphology, host records, and geographic records.
