Caprella mutica

Caprella mutica is a highly invasive caprellid amphipod native to the Sea of Japan. It has spread to temperate coastlines worldwide through maritime shipping and aquaculture, becoming established in the North Atlantic, North Pacific, New Zealand, and most recently South America. The species exhibits pronounced sexual dimorphism, with males reaching 50 mm and females averaging 15–20 mm. It is characterized by densely setose first and second pereonites in males and remarkable ecological plasticity, enabling dense populations on artificial structures.

Dinoderus minutus is a small wood-boring beetle in the family Bostrichidae, commonly known as the bamboo borer or bamboo powderpost beetle. Native to Asia, it has become a globally distributed pest of bamboo products through international trade. The species is attracted to the internal starch content of bamboo and is considered one of the most damaging pests of the bamboo industry, capable of causing significant economic losses in storage and finished products. It has established populations across multiple continents including Europe, Africa, North America, South America, and Oceania.

Eidmannella pallida is a scaffold-web spider in the family Nesticidae with native distribution in North America and established invasive populations across multiple global regions. The species has been introduced to Pacific Islands, the Galápagos Islands, Macaronesia, Spain, Japan, and Italy, where it demonstrates high invasiveness potential. It readily establishes permanent populations in anthropogenic habitats including vineyards, annual crop fields, and olive groves, and shows particular tendency to exploit vulnerable subterranean ecosystems such as caves.

Euplatypus parallelus is a polyphagous ambrosia beetle in the weevil family Curculionidae. Native to Central and South America, it has spread invasively to Africa, tropical Asia, and other regions, likely via timber trade. Adults bore galleries into tree trunks and cultivate symbiotic fungi for food, causing wood staining and economic damage in forest plantations. The species is attracted to ethanol and plant volatiles, with flight activity strongly influenced by temperature and precipitation.
