Carmenta wildishorum
Carmenta wildishorum is a clearwing moth in the family Sesiidae, described in 2017 from specimens collected in New Mexico. The species was subsequently documented in Colorado in 2019, representing a state record. Like other members of the genus Carmenta, it exhibits wasp-mimicry through transparent wings and a slender body form. The species appears to be uncommon and poorly known, with most records stemming from targeted bioblitz surveys.
Cyrtopogon albifacies
Cyrtopogon albifacies is a species of robber fly in the family Asilidae, described by Johnson in 1942. The specific epithet "albifacies" refers to the white face, a distinctive morphological feature. As a member of the genus Cyrtopogon, it shares the general robber fly habit of being an aerial predator of other insects. The species has been documented in Colorado, including during bioblitz surveys at Blodgett Peak Open Space.
Exenterus amictorius
Exenterus amictorius is an ichneumonid parasitoid wasp introduced to North America that attacks sawfly larvae (Hymenoptera: Diprionidae), particularly during the pre-spinning eonymph stage. The species exhibits adaptive host discrimination behavior that changes during the host's spinning period, lacks discrimination initially but rapidly acquires and maintains this ability. It shows strong positive density-dependent responses to host abundance and has established successfully on multiple diprionid hosts across North America. In multiparasitism situations with the native E. diprionis, E. amictorius consistently survives due to faster larval development.

It is one of seven recognized species in the Nearctic genus Hesperophylax. The species has been observed in Colorado at bioblitz events and is documented across North America with 133 iNaturalist observations.
