Ecyrus dasycerus is a of longhorn beetle in the Cerambycidae, first described by Thomas Say in 1827. It is known from North America, with records from the United States and Mexico. The species exhibits two recognized : the nominate E. d. dasycerus and E. d. floridanus described by Linsley in 1935. Like other members of the Lamiinae, it is a wood-associated whose larvae develop in dead or dying woody plants.

Recorded from North America including the United States (California and eastern states) and Mexico (MX). The E. d. floridanus occurs in Florida.

Behavior

have been observed at ultraviolet light traps, indicating activity. One observation from western Texas in early May documents an adult attracted to blacklight in a canyon mouth with oak vegetation.
