Anapidae
Ground Orb-web Spiders
Anapidae is a family of minute spiders containing approximately 233 extant species in 59 genera, with most adults measuring less than 2 mm in body length. The family has undergone significant taxonomic revision, incorporating the former families Micropholcommatidae and Holarchaeidae as subfamilies. Members are primarily ground-dwelling inhabitants of moist forest habitats, where many species construct diminutive orb webs less than 3 cm in diameter. The group exhibits remarkable anatomical conservation despite extreme miniaturization, retaining complete organ systems and musculature that comparable-sized insects often reduce or lose.
Blethisa
Blethisa is a genus of ground beetles in the family Carabidae, subfamily Elaphrinae. It comprises approximately nine extant species distributed across the Holarctic region, plus one fossil species from the Pleistocene. Members of this genus are associated with aquatic or semi-aquatic habitats, with documented diving behavior in at least one species.
Glyphesis
dwarf spiders
Glyphesis is a genus of dwarf spiders (Linyphiidae) established by Eugène Louis Simon in 1926. The genus contains seven described species distributed across North America, Europe, and Asia. Several species are considered rare, with limited known localities. The genus is taxonomically stable and accepted in major arachnological databases.
Stethophyma
Stethophyma is a genus of grasshoppers in the subfamily Oedipodinae, distributed across Europe, temperate Asia through Japan, and North America. The genus contains six recognized species, with Stethophyma grossum (the large marsh grasshopper) being the type species and most studied member. Species in this genus are associated with moist habitats, particularly wetlands, peatland meadows, and forested meadows. Some species have undergone significant range contractions and are subjects of conservation concern.
