  • Agabus audeni

Agabus audeni is a predaceous diving beetle in the family Dytiscidae. It was described by Wallis in 1933 from a single type specimen collected in south-central British Columbia, and remained known only from that record until its rediscovery in the eastern foothills of the Rocky Mountains in southern Alberta. The species is morphologically similar to A. browni, with which it can be confused without careful examination.

  • Apodemia duryi

Organ Mountain metalmark, Mexican metalmark, Dury's Metalmark

Apodemia duryi is a species of metalmark butterfly in the family Riodinidae, native to the southwestern United States and adjacent Mexico. The species is named after its collector, W. Dury, and is primarily associated with dry, rocky habitats in mountain ranges. Adults are active during the warmer months and are known to visit flowers for nectar.

  • Bradynotes obesa

Slow Mountain Grasshopper, Mountain Lubber Grasshopper, Western Lubber Grasshopper

Bradynotes obesa is a large, flightless spur-throated grasshopper endemic to western North America. It is characterized by its robust, heavy-bodied morphology and slow, deliberate movement. The species inhabits transitional zones between pine savannah and sagebrush desert in mountainous regions, particularly at lower elevations in the Big Horn and Wind River Mountains of Wyoming. It is notable for its very early spring emergence, with adults present primarily in May and June, and its gregarious behavior in localized populations.

  • Nebria gebleri

    Gebler's gazelle beetle

Nebria gebleri is a species of ground beetle in the family Carabidae, first described by Dejean in 1831. It is found in North America, with a distribution spanning Alaska, Canada, and the western United States. The species comprises six recognized subspecies, each associated with specific mountain ranges. Adults are nocturnal and carnivorous.

  • Penthesilea sacculalis baboquivariensis

Penthesilea sacculalis baboquivariensis is a subspecies of snout moth in the family Pyralidae, described by Cashatt in 2013. It is distinguished from the nominate subspecies by geographic restriction to the Baboquivari Mountains region of southern Arizona. The subspecies epithet references this specific mountain range.
