Microcentrus is a of treehoppers in the Membracidae, containing approximately 10 described . The genus belongs to the tribe Microcentrini within the Stegaspidinae. Species in this genus are found in North America and Mexico, including the hickory stegaspidine (M. caryae). The genus was established by Stål in 1870.
