  • Ammosphex

Ammosphex is a subgenus of spider wasps in the genus Arachnospila, family Pompilidae. It was established by Wilcke in 1942 and comprises species distributed across East Siberia and the Russian Far East. Recent taxonomic work has described five new species from Tuva, Khakassia, and the Republic of Altai, and expanded known distributions for eight additional species. The group is characterized by morphological features distinguishable in males, for which a revised identification key covering 24 species exists.

  • Detonella

Detonella is a genus of terrestrial isopods (woodlice) in the family Detonidae, established by Lohmander in 1927. The genus contains at least two described species: Detonella papillicornis from North America and Detonella sachalina from the Russian Far East. These woodlice belong to the suborder Oniscidea, the group containing all fully terrestrial isopods.

  • Dirhagini

Dirhagini is a tribe of false click beetles within the family Eucnemidae, subfamily Melasinae. The tribe is distributed across the Palaearctic and Nearctic regions. Recent taxonomic work has clarified nomenclature and species boundaries, including descriptions of new species from the Russian Far East and redescriptions of poorly known taxa. Members of this tribe are characterized by specific larval morphological traits that distinguish them from other Eucnemidae.

  • Margaiostus

Margaiostus is a genus of click beetles (Elateridae) established in 1978. It was long considered restricted to the New World, with species known from North and South America. The genus was first recorded in the Palaearctic region in 2015 with the description of M. sundukovi from the Russian Far East, significantly expanding its known geographic range. The genus belongs to the diverse click beetle family, whose members are characterized by their ability to right themselves using a prosternal process that clicks against the mesosternum.

  • Microrhagus

Microrhagus is a genus of false click beetles in the family Eucnemidae, tribe Dirhagini. The genus was established by Dejean in 1833 and contains Palaearctic species, including two species recently described from the Russian Far East (M. nikitskyi and M. vicarius). Members of this genus are small beetles associated with decaying wood habitats.

  • Prodiamesinae

Prodiamesinae is a subfamily of non-biting midges in the family Chironomidae. The subfamily contains at least four extant genera: Compteromesa, Monodiamesa, Odontomesa, and Prodiamesa, with additional fossil genera known from Cretaceous amber deposits. Species have been documented across the Holarctic region, including the Russian Far East, Tibetan Plateau, and North America. The subfamily has been subject to both morphological and molecular taxonomic studies, particularly for species discrimination using DNA barcoding.

  • Sachalinobiini

Sachalinobiini is a small tribe of longhorn beetles (Cerambycidae) classified within the subfamily Lepturinae. The tribe is named for its association with Sakhalin Island and surrounding regions of the Russian Far East. Members of this tribe are characterized by their elongated bodies and antennae typical of lepturine cerambycids. The tribe contains limited described diversity, reflecting its restricted geographic distribution.
