Anotia lineata
Anotia lineata is a species of planthopper in the family Derbidae, described by Ball in 1937. It belongs to the subfamily Otiocerinae and tribe Otiocerini. The species is known from limited observations, with distribution records from Arizona. As a member of the planthopper superfamily Fulgoroidea, it shares the characteristic morphology of this group, including an often enlarged or modified head structure. Information on its biology, ecology, and life history remains sparse in published literature.
Mula
Mula is a genus of planthoppers in the family Derbidae, described by Ball in 1928. Members of this genus belong to the tribe Sikaianini within the subfamily Otiocerinae. Derbidae planthoppers are known for their elongated wings and association with fungal-feeding habits in many species. The genus is part of the diverse Fulgoroidea superfamily, which contains numerous economically significant agricultural pests and ecologically important decomposers.
Patara vanduzei
Patara vanduzei is a species of planthopper in the family Derbidae, described by Ball in 1902. It belongs to the tribe Patarini within the subfamily Otiocerinae. The species has been recorded across multiple states in the eastern and southeastern United States. Like other derbids, it is presumed to feed on plant phloem sap, though specific host plant associations remain undocumented.
Sayiana
Sayiana is a genus of planthoppers in the family Derbidae, subfamily Otiocerinae, established by Ball in 1928. The genus contains four recognized species distributed in the Caribbean region, including Puerto Rico and Vieques Island. Members of this genus are small, delicate planthoppers characteristic of the Otiocerinae, which are known for their elongated bodies and often reduced wings.
Sayiana sayi
Sayiana sayi is a species of planthopper in the family Derbidae, first described by Ball in 1902 under the name Anotia sayi. It belongs to the tribe Otiocerini within the subfamily Otiocerinae. The species is recorded from several states in the eastern and central United States. As a member of Fulgoromorpha, it shares the characteristic morphology of planthoppers, though specific details of its biology remain poorly documented in available literature.
Shellenius
Shellenius is a small genus of planthoppers in the family Derbidae, subfamily Otiocerinae, tribe Otiocerini. The genus was established by Ball in 1928 and contains species distributed in the eastern United States and Mesoamerica. At least one species has been documented in association with palms in Costa Rica. A recent taxonomic revision transferred Otiocerus interruptus Fowler to this genus as Shellenius interruptus.
