Acrosathe
Acrosathe is a genus of stiletto flies (family Therevidae) comprising more than 20 described species. The genus was established by Irwin and Lyneborg in 1981 and belongs to the subfamily Therevinae. Six species are documented from the Nearctic Region, including the type species and one newly described species (A. falcata). Species-level taxonomy has been revised with morphological descriptions, genitalia illustrations, and distribution mapping.
Apodemia
metalmark butterflies
Apodemia is a New World genus of metalmark butterflies (family Riodinidae) ranging from Canada to Brazil. The genus contains approximately 18 described species, including the type species Apodemia mormo (Mormon metalmark). Species-level taxonomy has undergone revision; Apodemia paucipuncta was transferred to the new genus Hallonympha based on morphological and behavioral characters. Oviposition behavior varies geographically: northern populations of A. mormo deposit single eggs on soil or rocks, while southern populations lay eggs in groups on host plants.
Morophagoides
A genus of small moths in the family Tineidae, established by Petersen in 1957. The genus has a wide distribution and contains at least eight species in Japan, including four described in a 2015 revision based on adult morphological characters. The Japanese fauna comprises M. ussuriensis, M. moriutii, M. occidentalis, M. meridianus, and four newly described species: M. breviculus, M. robinsoni, M. aquilonis, and M. yakuensis. A potential synapomorphy has been proposed for this genus, though details of larval biology and host associations remain undocumented.
Pseudolampsis
Pseudolampsis is a genus of flea beetles (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Alticini) established by G.H. Horn in 1889. The genus has been subject to taxonomic revision regarding distribution patterns and synonymy. The most studied species, Pseudolampsis guttata, has been evaluated as a biological control agent for invasive aquatic ferns.
