Colobochyla is a of in the Erebidae. Its taxonomic placement remains provisional, currently tentatively classified in the Hypeninae pending further phylogenetic analysis. The genus was previously assigned to Phytometrinae (Erebidae) or Calpinae (Noctuidae). Six are recognized, including the swamp belle moth (C. interpuncta) and lesser belle moth (C. salicalis).
