Taxonomic note

Authorship is sometimes cited as Breuning, 1961, but Catalogue of Life and GBIF list it as Breuning, 1960.

Data limitations

Only 9 iNaturalist observations exist for this . The closely related Ataxia hubbardi has been extensively studied in Missouri glades, where it breeds in living tissues of Silphium terebinthinaceum and other Asteraceae, but whether A. falli shares similar ecological requirements is unknown.
