Distribution
Eastern North America. The nominate S. n. nitidicollis occurs in Newfoundland and Quebec. The subspecies S. n. brevoorti is found from Manitoba east through Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia, and south to Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, and Minnesota.
