1Haplopoda is an infraorder of branchiopod crustaceans within the order Diplostraca. It contains the single extant Leptodoridae, represented by the Leptodora, commonly known as the water flea Leptodora kindtii. This group is notable for being among the largest predatory cladocerans. The infraorder is now treated as a synonym of Onychopoda in many modern classifications.

Haplopoda is currently considered a synonym of Onychopoda in most modern taxonomic treatments, though it persists as a recognized infraorder in some databases including NCBI and Catalogue of Life. The group contains only the Leptodoridae.
Representative Taxon
The sole extant representative is Leptodora kindtii, a large transparent predatory cladoceran reaching up to 18 mm in length, found in lakes across the Northern Hemisphere.
