    Phidippus comatus is a species of jumping spider in the family Salticidae, distributed across North America including Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The species belongs to the genus Phidippus, which includes some of the largest jumping spiders in North America. Like other members of this genus, it possesses the characteristic enlarged anterior median eyes that provide excellent vision for hunting.
