Clepsis clemensiana is a tortricid found across northern North America. The forewings measure 9.6–11.2 mm. Larvae feed on grasses (Poaceae) and several forb including Aster, Symphyotrichum, Apocynum, and Solidago. The species was described by Fernald in 1879 and named for collector Dr. James Brackenridge Clemens.

Recorded from southern Canada (Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Vermont), the north-eastern and north-western United States, and from northern Utah to northern California.
Diet
Larvae feed on Poaceae , as well as Aster, Symphyotrichum, Apocynum, and Solidago species.
