Scevesia is a of in the Notodontidae, Nystaleinae. It was erected by Harrison Gray Dyar Jr. in 1916. The genus contains two described : Scevesia angustiora and Scevesia broidricci. It is placed within the superfamily Noctuoidea, a large group of moths commonly known as owlet moths and relatives.

Taxonomic history

The was established by Harrison Gray Dyar Jr., a prominent American entomologist known for his work on Lepidoptera. The type is Scevesia broidricci Dyar, 1916.

Species composition

The contains two : Scevesia angustiora (Barnes & McDunnough, 1910), originally described in a different genus, and Scevesia broidricci (Dyar, 1916), the type species.
