Sutyna is a of owlet moths in the Noctuidae, established by Todd in 1958. The genus contains four described distributed in the Americas, with records from the United States (including Vermont) and Colombia. As members of the Noctuinae, these are part of one of the largest and most diverse lineages within Noctuidae. The genus remains poorly documented in published literature beyond taxonomic descriptions.

Taxonomic history

The was erected by Todd in 1958. Sutyna privata, originally described by Walker in 1857, has been subject to taxonomic revision with two junior synonyms (Sutyna profundus Smith, 1900 and Sutyna tenuilinea Smith, [1904]) subsequently synonymized.

Species inventory

Four are currently recognized: Sutyna colombiensis (Dognin, 1914), Sutyna negrita (Hampson, 1907), Sutyna privata (Walker, 1857), and Sutyna leucocyma (Hampson, 1912).
