Tyria is a of tiger moths in the Erebidae, best known for Tyria jacobaeae (the cinnabar moth), a herbivore that has been extensively studied for its role in of toxic ragwort plants. The genus contains day-flying with aposematic coloration warning of their chemical defenses. Larvae sequester from plants in the genus Senecio.
