Native to the Palearctic region, with records from 32 European countries, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Russia (Central, Southern, Northern, Eastern, Western, and Far Eastern regions including the Kuriles). Also recorded in Japan and China (Beijing, Hebei, Henan, Xinjiang). Introduced to North America with confirmed records from Ontario, Canada.
