Silini

Silini is a tribe of soldier beetles (family Cantharidae) characterized by soft, flexible elytra and generally elongate body forms. Members are found across temperate and tropical regions, with larvae typically inhabiting soil and leaf litter where they function as predators. The tribe contains numerous genera and is one of the most species-rich groups within the subfamily Silinae. Adults are often observed on flowers and foliage where they feed on pollen and small insects.
