Neoscutopterus is a of predaceous diving beetles in the Dytiscidae, established by J. Balfour-Browne in 1943. The genus comprises two recognized : Neoscutopterus angustus (LeConte, 1850) and Neoscutopterus hornii (Crotch, 1873). It belongs to the Colymbetinae and tribe Colymbetini. The genus is native to North America.
