A of harvestmen in the Taracidae, established by Shear in 2016. It was erected to accommodate O. spinosus, transferred from Taracus where it had been placed by Banks in 1894, along with two newly described from the Pacific Northwest. The genus is distinguished from Taracus by cheliceral .

Identification

Distinguished from the closely related Taracus by cheliceral characteristics; O. spinosus was previously classified in Taracus but transferred based on morphological differences. The genus includes with spiny as indicated by the type species epithet.
