Athysanella lemhi
Athysanella lemhi is a leafhopper species in the family Cicadellidae, described by Hamilton in 2002. It belongs to a genus of small, slender leafhoppers found primarily in western North America. The species is known from limited records in Idaho. Like other members of its family, it is presumed to feed on plant sap using piercing-sucking mouthparts.
Athysanella nielsoni
Athysanella nielsoni is a species of leafhopper in the family Cicadellidae, described by Blocker in 1990. The genus Athysanella belongs to the tribe Athysanini within the subfamily Deltocephalinae, a diverse group of small, plant-feeding insects. This species is known from limited collection records in Idaho.
Cicindela waynei
Bruneau Dune Tiger Beetle, Bruneau Tiger Beetle
Cicindela waynei is a rare, range-restricted tiger beetle endemic to sand dune habitats in southwestern Idaho. It belongs to the C. maritima species group, a clade of sand-dune specialists in central and western North America. The species is classified as globally imperiled by state and federal land management agencies due to its small population size and vulnerability to habitat degradation. It was first described in 2001 and remains one of the most geographically constrained tiger beetles in North America.
Orophe unicus
Orophe unicus is a robust millipede in the family Xystodesmidae endemic to the Rocky Mountains of northern Idaho. Originally described as Chipus unicus in 1953, it was transferred to Orophe in 1964 and has undergone taxonomic revision due to its close similarity to Orophe cabinetus. The species is distinguished from its sister species primarily by subtle differences in gonopod structure and by geographic separation, though recent observations suggest their ranges may be closer than previously recognized.
