Tessellana is a of bush crickets (katydids) established by Zeuner in 1941. It belongs to the tribe Platycleidini within the Tettigoniinae. The genus contains six recognized distributed across mainland Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. The type species is Tessellana tessellata (Charpentier, 1825), originally described as Locusta tessellata.
