Trachyrhachys is a of band-winged in the , established by Scudder in 1876. The genus contains at least four described distributed across western North America, including the finned grasshopper (T. aspera) and Kiowa grasshopper (T. kiowa). These grasshoppers are classified within the Oedipodinae and tribe Psinidiini.
