Oxyptilus is a of plume moths in the Pterophoridae, established by Philipp Christoph Zeller in 1841. It belongs to the tribe Oxyptilini. The genus has been documented from northern Europe including Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. As with other plume moths, members of this genus are characterized by their distinctive wing .
