Patalene is a of geometer moths in the Geometridae, established by Herrich-Schäffer in 1854. The genus contains three in the Nearctic region. These are part of the diverse geometrid fauna that includes many bark- and twig-mimicking species. One species, Patalene olyzonaria, has been documented visiting blacklight traps in late autumn.
