Hulstina is a of in the Geometridae, Ennominae. It was erected by Harrison Gray Dyar Jr. in 1903. The genus contains approximately eight described , most of which were described in the 20th century. Several species were transferred from other genera, particularly from the related genus Hulstia.

Etymology

The name Hulstina honors George Hulst (1846–1900), an American entomologist who described several geometrid moths. Hulst originally described some now placed in this genus under the genus Hulstia, which was later synonymized.

Species diversity

The includes eight recognized : H. aridata, H. exhumata, H. formosata, H. grossbecki, H. imitatrix, H. nevadaria, H. tanycraeros, H. wrightiaria, and H. xera. Several species were described by Rindge in 1970 during revisions of North American geometrids.
