Archiearis infans, commonly known as the Infant , is a of geometrid moth described by Heinrich Benno Möschler in 1862. It belongs to the Archiearinae, a group of early-emerging spring moths. The species exhibits a transcontinental distribution across northern North America, with two recognized : the nominate form in the eastern and central range, and A. i. oregonensis in the Pacific region.

Distribution

Found from Alaska to Newfoundland across Canada, extending southward in the eastern United States to New Jersey and in the western United States to California. The Archiearis infans oregonensis occurs from southern British Columbia to California.

Two are recognized: Archiearis infans infans (nominate subspecies) and Archiearis infans oregonensis Swett, 1917, which occupies the Pacific coastal region from southern British Columbia to California.
