Oegoconiinae is a of small within the Autostichidae, established by Leraut in 1992. The subfamily contains at least four recognized : Apatema, Apateona, Dysallomima, and the type genus Oegoconia. The genus Nemotyla was previously classified here but has been reassigned to Oecophorinae. These moths are part of the superfamily Gelechioidea, a diverse group of small Lepidoptera.
