Europe; North America (Canada: Alberta, with records from Edmonton, Lethbridge, Wabamun, and Wagner Natural Area); Egypt (first record for fauna, 2017). Three recognized with partially overlapping ranges: O. c. carbonator (Europe), O. c. morio, and O. c. texana (North America).
