Identification
The nominate subgenus Pediopsoides (Pediopsoides) can be distinguished by the following combination of characters: pronotum with oblique striations; forewing with two ante- ; connective armed only at apex and freely attached to tenth tergite; side of male pygofer without an articulated lobe; and male pygofer process bifid or with fine teeth. -level identification requires examination of male genitalia, particularly the shape of the pygofer process and aedeagal structures.

Documented from Yunnan Province, Guangxi Autonomous Region, Guangdong Province, and Taiwan in China; also recorded from Japan and India.
