Habitat
Montane tropical forests; have been collected at elevations ranging from 740 m to 1400 m in protected areas. Specific collection sites include Bach Ma National Park in Central Vietnam (1250–1400 m) and Nui Pia Oac Nature Reserve (850–1300 m).
Distribution
Americas, Africa, and Asia including Sri Lanka, Indochina, Korea, and Japan. Absent from Greater Antilles, Madagascar, New Zealand, Melanesia/Polynesia; only one in Australia; in Palaearctic restricted to southeast.
Behavior
Attracted to light; collected using light funnel traps.
