Laccophilus quadrilineatus is a of predaceous diving beetle described by Horn in 1871. It belongs to the Dytiscidae, a group of aquatic beetles adapted to life in freshwater environments. The species is distributed across North America and the Neotropics. Three are recognized: L. q. quadrilineatus (the nominate form), L. q. mayae, and L. q. tehuanensis.
