Laccophilus pictus is a of predaceous diving beetle in the Dytiscidae. It is found in the Neotropics, with distribution records spanning Middle America and North America. The species was described by Laporte in 1835 and includes three recognized : L. p. pictus (the nominate subspecies), L. p. coccinelloides, and L. p. insignis.
