Phidippus phoenix is a of jumping spider described by G.B. Edwards in 2004. It belongs to the Phidippus, which includes some of the largest and most conspicuous jumping spiders in North America. Like other Phidippus species, it possesses excellent vision and active hunting characteristic of the Salticidae.
