Evarcha proszynskii is a Holarctic jumping spider first described from Russia in 1998. It occurs across northern Eurasia from Russia through Japan, and has established in western North America. The species is primarily but has been observed sheltering on building exteriors at night. Like other salticids, it hunts by sight without using webs.
