Lesser Green Lynx Spider

Peucetia longipalpis is a of lynx spider in the Oxyopidae, found from the southwestern United States to Venezuela. It is closely related to and often confused with the more widespread Peucetia viridans, requiring examination of mature sexual organs for definitive identification. Like other lynx spiders, it is an active hunter that does not construct capture webs.

Identification

Requires examination of mature sexual organs to distinguish from Peucetia viridans; external is similar to that , with green coloration typical though southwestern may show yellowish or brownish variations.
