    Agrilus obtusus is a metallic wood-boring beetle in the family Buprestidae, described by Horn in 1891. It is a specialist herbivore associated with Senna roemeriana (two-leaved senna). The species occurs in western Texas and surrounding regions of North America. Adults are small, typically collected by beating or sweeping host plants.

    Centris atripes is a species of oil-collecting bee in the family Apidae, commonly known as the Black-legged Oil-Digger. It occurs in Central America and North America. Like other Centris species, it has been observed collecting floral oils rather than nectar from certain plants. It is a documented pollinator of Krameria erecta and Senna wislizeni var. painteri, with activity on the latter occurring during the rainy season.

    Zabrotes chavesi is a small leaf beetle in the family Chrysomelidae, described by Kingsolver in 1980. The species was named in honor of Franklin Chaves, director of Santa Rosa National Park in Costa Rica, which serves as its type locality. It is distributed across the Americas from northern South America through Central America to the southwestern United States.
