  • Cis vitulus

Cis vitulus is a species of minute tree-fungus beetle in the family Ciidae, a group of small beetles specialized for life on fungal substrates. The species was described by Mannerheim in 1843 and is known from North America. Members of the genus Cis are typically associated with wood-decaying fungi, particularly bracket fungi (Polyporaceae), where they complete their development. Like other ciid beetles, C. vitulus is likely cryptic and poorly studied due to its small size and specialized habitat.

  • Diadocidiidae

A small family of fungus gnats (Diptera) containing two genera: the extant Diadocidia with over 20 species and the extinct †Docidiadia from Burmese amber. Adults are minute woodland flies measuring 2.5–5.6 mm. The family was historically treated as a subfamily of Mycetophilidae but is now recognized as distinct and closely related to Keroplatidae, Bolitophilidae, and Ditomyiidae.

  • Endecatomus dorsalis

Endecatomus dorsalis is a beetle species in the family Bostrichidae (subfamily Endecatominae). It is known from the southern United States. Both adults and larvae feed on bracket fungi, specifically members of Polyporaceae and Hymenochaetaceae.

  • Microporus

Microporus is a genus of polypore fungi in the family Polyporaceae. The genus has a widespread distribution and contains approximately 11 species. Members of this genus produce bracket-like fruiting bodies with poroid undersurfaces. The genus was established by Palisot de Beauvois in 1805.
