Mesepiola
Mesepiola is a genus of small moths in the family Prodoxidae, first described by Davis in 1967. The genus includes at least one described species, Mesepiola specca, which occurs in arid regions of the southwestern United States. These moths are associated with monocot host plants in the genera Nolina and Dasylirion.
Thrincopyge alacris
Thrincopyge alacris is a metallic wood-boring beetle in the family Buprestidae. The genus Thrincopyge comprises jewel beetles associated with sotol plants (Dasylirion species), where larvae bore through dried flower stalks and adults wedge themselves in the leaf bases. This species occurs in Central America and North America.
