The belongs to the diverse Olethreutes, which contains numerous small moths commonly known as tortrix moths or leafroller moths. Like other members of the Tortricidae, are typically small with wings folded roof-like over the body at rest. The species has been documented in limited geographic regions including Manitoba, Canada and Vermont, USA.
