Surattha is a of grass moths in the Crambidae. The genus was synonymized with Prionapteryx in 1967 but was later reinstated as valid by Bassi and Mey in 2011. The genus includes approximately 16 described distributed across Africa, Asia, and North America. At least one species, S. indentella, has been documented as associated with buffalograss (Bouteloua dactyloides).

Distinguished by combination of porrect, thickly scaled labial palps extending well beyond ; conical process; bipectinate male with long branches; long tibial spurs with outer spurs two-thirds length of inner; forewing venation with 4 and 5 on long stalk, veins 6, 7, 10, and 11 free; hindwing with vein 5 absent and vein 7 anastomosing with vein 8. Separation from Prionapteryx requires examination of genitalic characters per Bassi & Mey (2011) revision.
Appearance
Palpi porrect (extending forward), thickly scaled, and extending about one and a half times the length of the . Maxillary palp triangularly scaled. with a conical process. Male bipectinate with long branches. Tibia with long spurs, outer spurs about two-thirds the length of inner spurs. Forewings long and narrow with rounded apex. Hindwings with 5 absent and vein 7 anastomosing (fusing) with vein 8.
Habitat
Associated with grasslands; at least one (S. indentella) has been documented on buffalograss (Bouteloua dactyloides).
