Acherdoa is a of in the Noctuidae, first described by Francis Walker in 1865. The genus contains at least two recognized : Acherdoa ferraria (the type species) and Acherdoa ornata. Members of this genus are classified within the Noctuinae, one of the largest groups of owlet moths.
