Kocakina fidelis, commonly known as the Intractable Quaker, is a in the Noctuidae. It is the sole member of the Kocakina, which was established in 2006 to replace the junior homonym Himella. The species occurs across eastern North America from Quebec and Maine south to Florida, and west to Texas and Kansas. It inhabits dry woodland environments.

Taxonomic history

The was originally described under the Himella, but this name was found to be a junior homonym (preoccupied by a genus of brachiopods). The replacement genus name Kocakina was established in 2006.
