Psectrotarsia is a small New World of in the Noctuidae, erected by Paul Dognin in 1907. The genus contains five distributed from the United States through Mexico and Central America to Peru. Most species are distinguished by pink forewing markings, with the exception of Psectrotarsia flava. The genus was revised by Michael P. Pogue in 2007, resulting in the transfer of two species to Copitarsia.

Identification
