Taxonomic history

The was erected by Barnes and Benjamin in 1924. Paramiana exculta was synonymized with Euamiana endopolia in 1986, reducing the genus by one .

Species composition

Five extant : P. callaisata (Blanchard, 1972), P. canoa (Barnes, 1907), P. marina (J.B. Smith, 1906), P. perissa (Nye, 1975), and P. smaragdina (Neumoegen, 1884).
