Gloveria howardi is a in the Lasiocampidae, described by Dyar in 1896. Originally placed in the Dendrolimus, it was later transferred to Gloveria. The species is known from very few observations, with only two research-grade records documented in iNaturalist. As a member of the family Lasiocampidae, are presumed to be non-feeding with reduced mouthparts, though this has not been directly confirmed for this species.
